NarroWay Entertainment is creating a documentary discussing GASLIGHTING, a type of abuse…please see this link for more information:
We need actors to film the recreation scenes, so we are looking for mostly physical/body language ability (as there is no script for the actors). As the interviewees tell their individual stories, the film will cut back and forth in between the interviewee and the actors portraying their stories.
We are looking for the following roles to be filled…
- Male, between ages of 25 – 35 to portray the stereotypical domestic abuse boyfriend/husband perpetrator
- Female, between ages of 20 – 30 to portray the stereotypical domestic abuse girlfriend/wife victim
- Male, between ages of 35 – 60 to portray the gaslighting perpetrator
- Female, between ages of 35 – 60 to portray the gaslighting victim
- Male/Female, adult age, to play the concerned friend
- MORE ACTORS MAY BE NEEDED, so please feel free to send us your audition tape!
Please send us a link to your audition video, including how you would physically portray that character. If you are auditioning for the first two roles listed above, feel free to reenact movie scenes from domestic abuse films, such as Sleeping With the Enemy, or recite a monologue that is related to domestic abuse.
If you are auditioning for the third, fourth or fifth roles, please reenact a scene from the 1944 film GASLIGHT starring Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer.
